Moe Lasky Scholarship
Thank you for your interest in the Moe Lasky Scholarship
Named in honor of Moe L. Lasky, this scholarship, awarded in various amounts, is designed for dedicated Publix employees and their children who have demonstrated academic excellence, strong character, and a commitment to their future.
Moe Lasky was more than a Publix employee—he was a beloved community figure who brought warmth, kindness, and a legendary smile to the Palm Plaza Publix in Leesburg, FL. The New York retiree started his Publix career at 67, and working until 93, he became an unofficial ambassador, known for his handshakes, hugs, and signature tootsie pops for children.
Moe believed sincerely in the power of education, making this scholarship a fitting tribute to his legacy of service, positivity, and lifelong learning.
