The Department of Health Initiatives and Promotion works to enhance the overall health and well-being of our campus community through evidence-informed prevention efforts. Our Health Initiatives team offers programs, events, and resources that make it easier to build healthy habits—whether that means managing stress, getting active, or finding balance. Making Florida Southern Home

Offered by the Office of Health Education and Promotion, this is a 2-hour course designed to help freshmen students transition into college life and have a successful first year at Florida Southern. The course will guide you in formulating your own definition of a successful first year experience through a holistic wellness perspective. You'll learn critical skills and strategies while being given the opportunity to develop them, including engaging with the FSC community, creating a sense of belonging, increasing self- awareness and taking ownership of their own well-being.
