Applying for Fall Housing

Housing Application

Applications will open on the Portal on Monday, April 7. The priority due date for the Housing Application is Monday, April 21. Students who apply after the priority due date will receive a later Housing Selection Timeslot.

Portal

This page is for students who are currently at Florida Southern College. New students for Fall 2025 can contact their Admissions Counselor regarding your Housing Application.

New for 2025: Housing Application will open in April 2025. Housing Selection will take place in May & June 2025.

Housing Selection

Students will be assigned a selection timeslot, during which time eligible students can log in and select available housing based on eligibility and capacity. Timeslots do not limit the amount of time a student can select a residential space. Timeslots mark when a student can begin selecting a space. Students can select a residential space between their timeslot until the end of the General Housing Selection.

Selection timeslots are assigned based on a specific algorithm consistent between students. The algorithm is determined by a student’s Florida Southern College earned credit hours, total credit hours (transfer, dual enrollment, etc.), level of involvement through the Passport Program, and grade point average at FSC. Additionally, a student’s status as an honors student or Hollingsworth Scholar is also factored in. Traditionally, students in the very first housing window have 120 credit hours earned at FSC and a GPA of 4.0. While overall hours are considered, hours at FSC are weighed most heavily!

Housing Selection Timeslots

Using available information through Fall 2024, Housing Selection Timeslots are determined by a student’s Florida Southern College earned credit hours, total credit hours (transfer, dual enrollment, etc.), level of involvement through the Passport Program, and grade point average at FSC. Roommate pairings looking to select a space together must use the earliest selection timeslot to select a room assignment.

Honors students, Hollingsworth Scholars, and students who reached Passport Level 5 by Monday, March 31 will receive an additional priority factor to their overall score, which will positively impact their Housing Selection Timeslot.

Timeslot Assignments
