David Sparling

Professor of Communication

Sparling

My philosophy of teaching and learning is developing one of the most personal relationships you can have with an individual, by helping to support that individual’s growth as a person both academically and intellectually. I believe the future of teaching goes hand in hand with the use of computer technology. Computers are tools that if used correctly unlock the doors to imagination. They educate, they inspire, and develop students’ minds to a level never before seen. We are now on the threshold of a new beginning in education. Teaching with computers is about to become so prevalent it will seem shortly as if they always existed.

This is the immediate future. That future is now.
