Jenny Heidtman
Director of Voice Studies
My teaching centers on creating a supportive, student-focused environment where singers can develop their voices with confidence and curiosity. I see voice study as more than technical training; it is an opportunity for students to grow artistically while also engaging thoughtfully with language, history, and culture, taking to heart the individual experiences, dreams and goals each student brings to the studio. In lessons, I focus on developing efficient, sustainable vocal function, refined musicianship, and adaptability in a range of styles and languages. I approach the studio as a collaborative space where students are encouraged to ask questions, reflect on their process, and take ownership of their growth. By connecting technical work with careful attention to text and context, students develop both expressive freedom and interpretive insight. My goal is to help them leave not only as stronger singers, but as thoughtful, confident artists.
