Office of Institutional Research
OVERVIEW
The mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness is to provide data, research, and analysis in support of the mission and strategic plan of Florida Southern College. The office offers assistance to academic, administrative, and support services units for institutional effectiveness, program assessment, data analysis, and reporting. The Office acts as the central repository for institutional data, reporting definitions, and reporting standards.
This office is also responsible for:
- National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) Enrollment and Degree Reporting
- External reporting, such as for IPEDS, CUPA-HR Faculty, and AAUP
- Voluntary external survey responses, such as for US News and World Report, Princeton Review’s Best Colleges, and College Board’s Annual Survey of Colleges
- Administering internal surveys such as end-of-course evaluations, graduating student surveys, first destination surveys, NSSE, and SSI
FACULTY & STAFF
Florida Southern Faculty and Staff may submit data requests through the FSC portal and clicking on “Research Data Request”. You must log in to access this page.

OUTSIDE PARTIES
All others may submit a data request to the institutional research team by emailing ir@flsouthern.edu or contacting the assessment by emailing assessment@flsouthern.edu. When emailing a request, please include the following:
- Name
- Email Address
- Name of Organization
- Description of data being requested
- Explanation of how the data will be used
- A copy of the complete and approved IRB (if applicable)
- Deadline
- Explanation of where the data will be posted (if applicable)
